They Live Remake taking TOO LONG!

The 1980's cult classic is finally being remade but Imdb are slow informaing us on the progress. If you haven't seen the original then I highly recommend it. Don't expect gret special effects cos it was a B movie but you will surely appreciate the storyline.

Seriously? They're remaking this one as well? I've nothing against remakes in principle but some films cannot be improved upon simply by throwing a bit of money and CGI at them. John Carpenter's films work because of the attitude and the style, the subversive elements and the knowing wink to the audience. The remakes of Halloween, The Fog and Assault on Precint 13 were all terrible and I do not have high hopes for the forthcoming Thing 'prequel' or the much mooted new version of Escape From New York.
I would also highly recommend the original version of 'They Live', it is a much overlooked gem.
