Well the answer to my own question is No!  As if some of you may have thought that being able to give away as yet unpublished books would be enough for one little ezine for those of us at Spiney!
 
First of all a huge Congratulations to Jeff Jones who has won himself a 2009 Spinetinglers Anthology which I will be posting off just as soon as I receive them from the printer.  Jeff took our offer up from last week's ezine and has already submitted five excellent and constructive comments to the stories.  As Jeff said, "someone has to be first and maybe it'll get others to leave feedback as well".  Jeff we certainly hope so and please don't forget there is a Spinetinglers Anthology - either 2008 or 2009 with your name on it - if you post five constructive comments.  Take a quick look at Jeff's and you'll see that we're not looking for a masterclass in literary criticism - just good constructive feedback.  Not only do the writers like to see what you think of the stories but a little birdy told me that the judges are fairly keen to read your feedback as well!  So get commenting!
 
Ok staying with the idea of giving away an Anthology we have another way for you to earn your copy.  This time leave 50 posts on the forum.  Yes you read correctly leave 50 posts on the forum!  Why 50? I hear you cry, well very simply the posts may well be one or two words so we're going to get you to do a little work for your copy.
 
Staying with the forum I have been reliably informed (fingers crossed) by IT that those of you who could not login to the forum under your original username should now be able to.  If you still can't login (Mr Beeho for one) please let me know as IT think that they have this glitch sorted out.
 
As you all know we have had teething glitches and we're working as fast as possible to get them sorted - next on the list is the formatting of the stories.  Thankfully we now have you all published under your real names and not usernames, so we need to get the formatting sorted in the actual stories.  We're not sure why it happened but changing the site meant that the formatting on virtually all the stories has gone a little haywire - some have several different sizes of font, some are centred some have huge spaces but rest assured we're working on this one now.
 
As a last note it also looks as if my wonderful idea of shifting the ezine to Monday nighthttp://spinetinglers.co.uk/Tuesday morning may be short lived - it appears from the poll that you liked the Sunday night ezine and I have to say to all of you who have voted for it you have considerable support - Jodi was more than a little aghast that I had changed it.  However she says that she'll also go along with whatever you would prefer - so get voting everyone - do we go back to Jodi's Sunday night or stay with my Monday?  Or move it to a different night altogether?  I confess on this one if it comes down to picking between Jodi and myself I think she has the market cornered!
